Common safety tools include elastic pliers, specialized pliers, magnetic suction cups, forceps, pliers, hooks, etc.

Protective measures for stamping die. Including setting up protection around the mold and improving the mold structure. Improving the dangerous area of the stampping tool and expanding the safety space; Set up a mechanical discharge device. On the premise of not affecting the strength and product quality of stamping molds, the original single process molds with various manual feeding materials will be improved to improve safety.

Setting safety protection devices on stamping equipment and stamping dies or using hand tool with low labor intensity and convenient and flexible use are also effective measures to realize safety protection in large area of stamping operations under current conditions.

Protective devices for stamping equipment. There are many forms of protective devices for stamping equipment, which can be divided into mechanical, button, photoelectric, inductive, etc. according to their structure.

The photoelectric device is composed of a set of photoelectric protectors and a mechanical device. When the operator’s hand enters the stamping mold area, the beam of light is obstructed and an electrical signal is emitted, thereby achieving the goal of stopping the movement of the press slider and preventing it from descending, ensuring the safety of the operator. Due to the convenient use of photoelectric protection devices, they have little interference with operations and are widely used.

The role of the press clutch cannot be ignored, which determines that its maintenance is essential in daily use. Here, QIAOSEN press professional technicians will explain the maintenance of the clutch in two points:

(1) Reason and necessity for adjustment: After the press machine has been running for a long time, the brake pads may wear and tear, which can affect the braking time and braking angle, causing errors in synchronization between the brake and clutch. At this time, adjustments must be made.

(2) The appropriate detection method for clutch/brake clearance:

A. Place the press slider in the bottom dead center position and press the main motor stop button to keep the flywheel stationary (the main power supply is still in the NO state).

B. Push the brake pad towards the flywheel side of the press machine to reveal the gap between the clutch/brake, and measure the gap size with a thickness gauge (the normal gap between the clutch/brake is 1.5-2mm).

C. If the gap exceeds this, additional shims must be added for adjustment (the measured gap minus 1.5 (mm)=increase in shim thickness).
